Summary:Background & Aim: Medical staff, including doctors and nurses, as the front line of fighting against the corona virus, are at risk of exposure to this virus. The reduction of personal protective equipment and the feeling of insufficient support may all contribute to the psychological stress of these employees. The exposure of the treatment staff to a wave of all kinds of exposures requires management and planning, so it is necessary to examine the welfare needs and personal protective equipment needed by the treatment staff. Methods: This study was cross-sectional descriptive. After the plan was approved by the research council of Torbat Heydarieh University of Medical Sciences and the code of ethics was obtained and the purpose of the research was stated, the informed consent form was provided to the medical staff. The tool used in this study was a checklist made by the researcher. After collecting the data, it was analyzed using SPSS statistical software and descriptive and inferential statistics at a significance level of P>0.05. Results:136 people with an average age of 32.63 ± 8.04 years participated in the present study. 47.8% mentioned face shield,67.6% gloves,69.9% gun,34.6% glasses,72.1% medical mask,41.9% filter mask among their personal protective equipment needs. In terms of welfare needs,55.9% considered the existence of a credit fund and good loan and64.7%considered the existence of a housing cooperative for employees to be very necessary. Conclusion: Providing accurate and reliable information about the welfare needs and the equipment needed by the treatment staff is one of the most important ways to make appropriate policies for control and preventive measures related to the disease.
