| description | Erythema multiforme (EM) is an acute inflammatory mucocutaneous disorder which can be triggered by host of factors including drugs. Filgrastim is a Granulocyte Colony-Stimulating Factor (G-CSF) analogue used to stimulate the production of white blood cells in patients on immunosuppressants developing neutropenia. EM following filgrastim usage is uncommonly reported in literature. The exact mechanism behind this reaction is not fully understood, but it is thought to be an immune-mediated response. Herein, we report this case of a 62-year-old male patient of active Pemphigus Vulgaris who developed EM following 2 doses of Filgrastim, which resolved after its discontinuation. |
