| Summary: | Housing Co-operative societies have been recognized as a democratic entity which formed under the law and regulation. The main duty assigned to the housing co-operatives are to provide houses to the members. Its performance can be measured in terms of financial performance and administrative performance (Non- Financial aspect). The performance statement which include financial and non –financial issues are practically prepared for co-operative members (internal uses) and for external users such as Tanzania Co-operatives Development Commission (TCDC) and Co-operative Audit and Supervision Corporation (COASCO). The performance statement is a map to understand and measure the financial and administrative health of a housing co-operative. Financial ratio analysis has received the attention in examining detailed coverage of housing co-operative liquidity, resources and operations. Report prepared from financial ratio analysis is intensively recognized whether it is a large or small company. This research paper present financial and non-financial indicator that mostly reflect organization performance and can be used to determine the movement of housing co-operatives in providing houses, most importantly to shows which financial ratios that reflect operations and financial position of the housing co-operatives. Given the recent rapidly increase of housing demand in Tanzania, it is a right time to document key performance indicators for evaluating the performance of housing Co-operative towards housing supply in the country.
