Description
Summary:The paper analyzes specific diagnostic methods for liver pathologies in fish based on the study of bile acids. It is determined that the cholate index is one of the important biomarkers used to assess the state of the hepatobiliary system. The relevance of using the cholate index for diagnostics and prognosis of hepatobiliary pathologies is revealed. Various methods are used to assess the cholate index in fish, including biochemical, immunological and chromatographic ones. The possibility of using a pool of bile acids to diagnose the state of the hepatobiliary system is also reflected. The possibility of not only diagnosing the presence of liver pathology, but also its development and degree of manifestation is determined. The ways of further research in the field of diagnostics of hepatobiliary pathologies in aquatic organisms are proposed.
