Description
Summary:The authors question themselves about the prejudice leading to the conviction of Sofri, Bompressi and Pietrostefani. They replace the assassination of Calabresi in the social and political conjuncture of the early 1970s. They highlight the motives of the positions and interventions, as the case became political in 1988, of some members of the magistracy, of the Pastrengo legion of “Carabinieri” and of one current of the Italian Communist party. This historical and political reading of the murder of Commissioner Calabresi and of the Sofri case highlights political responsibilities, historical readings and political prejudice that have played a decisive role in the way justice has intervened. It also reminds the absolute necessity of writing the history of those years of political and social upheaval without being deceived by a priori and partisan certainties.
