Summary:The article seeks to show that the historicization of the ecological drama of the dumping of toxic and chemical waste in the city of Abidjan in Tanella Boni's novel Sans parole ni poignée de main gives it a particular aesthetic and generic specificity. The novel takes on new configurations and is inscribed in the limbo of historiographical metafiction, whose major consequence would be the crisis, the damage of the narrative in parallel with the « Probo Kaola » environemental crisis. Moreover, the analysis postulates, from the angle of social discourse, the advent of a « situation post-sociale » or « la fin de la société » (in the sense of Alain Touraine) in Côte d’Ivoire.
