The present review summarizes the hazards, prevention, and control of PM, and it discusses resistance inheritance rules, molecular markers, quantitative trait locus (QTL) mapping, gene cloning, omics, and gene editing technology, providing research insights on cucumber breeding varieties resistant to PM.
