| Summary: | This article deals with the development of the bachelor students’ social competence by means of their curator’s educational activity. The author provides one of the most complete classifi-cations of professional competence (by A.K.Makarova) which includes social competence. According to the article, cultural and professional competences which jointly compose social competence can be efficiently developed by means of an extracurricular activity, because this type of activities is close to a professional sphere. The article brings into focus the idea that extracurricular activity encourages successful social and professional adaptation of students. As the research has shown, extracurricular activity of modern higher education institutions involves creative interactionbetween students and teachers, which is based on trust and respect. This article gives consideration to the activity arrangement of the curator of students’ groups in Russian universities (Pacific State University of Economics, Transbaikal State University, OgarevMordovia State University, Samara State Technical University, Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering and some others). The author presents a stagewise system of social competence development meant forthe first, second and third year students. This system comprises three successive steps: adaptive and cognitive, active and transformational. |
