description Aim. To compare proportion of different microorganisms in neonatal intensive care units and to assess bacterial susceptibility to antimicrobial agents.Materials and methods. Microbiological monitoring was carried out in neonatal intensive care units (NICU) №1 and №2 of Perinatal center of Krasnodar Region clinical hospital №2.Results. The results of microbiological monitoring demonstrated significant difference in proportions and susceptibility of detected microorganisms.Conclusion. The detected differences determine the need to develop protocols of empirical antimicrobial therapy separately for each medical unit.
