This study demonstrates the therapeutic potential of a combination therapy of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AdMSCs) and a glymphatic system-activated drug, clonidine, against prion disease. The therapy has the potential to clear PrPSc accumulation, ameliorate astrocytosis, and prolong the survival time of ME7-infected mice.
