description This paper briefly reviews the research and application status of Digital Rail Transit (DRT) system as an electronic guided rubber wheel system in the field of urban rail transit, and analyzes the technical research and development of i-DRT system of Shanghai Electric Group Intelligent Transportation Technology Co., Ltd. This paper also introduces the application of cooperation with SUNWIN in existing bus models, evaluates the technical principle, technical advantages and challenges of the current DRT system, and puts forward future research directions and suggestions, in order to provide reference for subsequent research.
