Description
Summary:Pulmonary sequestration is an uncommon congenital anomaly. It is usually diagnosed at a young age but can present in adults with recurrent episodes of pneumonia and cough. Isolated shortness of breath is an uncommon presentation of pulmonary sequestration and is rarely reported. We describe an adult male who presented with exertional dyspnea at a high altitude and was eventually diagnosed as a case of pulmonary sequestration. It is an uncommon developmental anomaly that can go undetected at a young age. In adults, it can present as isolated dyspnea, and a thorough work-up can lead to an accurate diagnosis.
