Summary:The revitalization program builds on a complex legal process, but also on the basis of a broad participatory process. Revitalization is an example of implementing management procedures at local government level. Public management includes the implementation of public services or the organization of their provision, combined with the administering and use of public resources. The category of public management is increasingly used by researchers in the f ield of administration and management, regional development and public finance management. The aim of this article is to characterize the process of creating a revitalization program as an example of management in local government in Poland.
