The EÍDOS Journal, the scientific publication of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at Universidad UTE, is honored to invite researchers, academics, and professionals to submit original manuscripts for its 25th special edition. This issue will focus on innovative architectural solutions addressing global contemporary challenges within an interdisciplinary and applied framework.
Thematic Areas:
1. Architectural Design and Sustainability:
o Strategies for integrating renewable energy into urban buildings.
o Innovations in sustainable design for rural and urban communities.
o Technologies aimed at enhancing energy efficiency in existing constructions.
2. Architecture and Climate Resilience:
o Architectural proposals for addressing natural disasters and climate change.
o Rehabilitation and regeneration of urban and rural spaces affected by climatic events.
o Green infrastructure projects as a response to environmental impact.
3. Technological Innovation in Architecture:
o BIM modeling and its impact on architectural planning.
o Applications of artificial intelligence in design and construction processes.
o Immersive technologies (virtual and augmented reality) to enhance workflows and outcomes.
4. Urbanism and Social Development:
o Inclusive and accessible design to promote social equity in urban environments.
o Revitalization strategies for intermediate cities in Latin America.
o The impact of urban planning on community well-being.
5. Preservation and Modernization of Architectural Heritage:
o Contemporary methods for the restoration and conservation of cultural heritage.
o Models of integration between technology and historical preservation.
o Case studies on adapting architectural heritage to modern contexts.
Important dates:
• Manuscript Submission: December 15, 2024 – March 31, 2025.
• Acceptance Notification: May 2025.
• Publication Date: July 2025.
Author guidelines:
• Length: Between 3,000 and 8,000 words.
• Accepted languages: Spanish and english
• Structure: Title, abstract (150–250 words), keywords, introduction, development, conclusions, and references (APA format).
• Originality: All manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection tools.
