| Summary: | This paper examines the relationship between theatre and podcasts in Italy, to provide an overview of the different configurations of audio drama in relation to the characteristics of the new medium. It focuses on the period between 2020 and the present, when podcasting began to be widely used as an ‘autonomous’ and ‘independent’ medium.
