The increase of the brain drain has respite to many questions.Nevertheless, image, nature of flows of skilled migrants combined with relative data’s fragility and the necessity to approach the problem and presenting appropriate policies, impose an analysis case by case. Using data relating to the Caribbean diaspora on the statistical basis of Docquier and Marfouk, this article purpose a reflection on the factors that explain the brain drain in the Caribbean islands.
