Description
Summary:Nanny agencies connect parents with caregivers, offering employment to the latter. While these agencies emphasize the quality and rigour of their recruitment, they must nevertheless deal with the demands of client-parents, their profitability objective and the state of the labour market. Working and employment conditions offered by the agencies attract an unstable and unskilled workforce, which rarely meets the demands of parents, whether they be educational, social, ethical, or professional. We will see that this problematic matching process is less of a tailor-made service than something thrown together ad hoc, and that not all client-parents have the same resources to deal with it.
