| Summary: | The study aims to analyze the main effects of the reduction in the use of agricultural inputs in the soybean culture, according to the Farm to Fork Strategy: decrease in agricultural production, increase in price, decrease in producers income, affecting the purchasing power of consumers. We analyzed soybean cultivation in Romania and compared to seven other EU countries (Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Hungary, Poland and United Kingdom) and showed that the use of pesticides and fertilizers in Romania is below the average of the quantities used in the countries included in the study. The areas cultivated with soybeans are significant and Romania occupied the 2nd place in the top of multi-year average for the total production of soybeans compared to the other analyzed countries. |
