description High-altitude platforms are rapidly developing technology, but their role in the future of warfare has not yet been sufficiently explored. This paper attempts to address this gap by linking technology, doctrine, and future studies. The study offers a comprehensive overview of the distinctive characteristics of high-altitude airspace, the technological advancements in military high-altitude platforms, and their potential applications in future conflicts. It also identifies weaknesses in existing aerospace defense capabilities and emphasizes the need for a robust international regulatory framework. By framing high-altitude platforms as a disruptive technology and high-altitude airspace as a contested domain, the study contributes to the discourse on air and space power. Methodologically, the paper is based on a semi-systematic literature review, combined with future study techniques and supported by semi-structured interviews.
