| Summary: | The challenge posed by climate change and the role of the media in democratic societies makes it necessary to adapt the normative theories of journalism to fit the context of the ecosocial crisis. This article discusses the main levels of analysis of the ideal-normative level of journalism, including its philosophical context, its political embeddedness and the practice of the profession in relation to the communicative challenges posed by the climate crisis. In doing so, this article discusses ideas and elements for the development of a normative theory of journalism adapted to the climate crisis that takes into account emerging currents of thought that emerge in response to this climate crisis. This article provides a theoretical contribution to the field of communication, ethics and the environment. |
