| description | The article analyses the publications of three key think tanks in Sub-Saharan Africa on the causes, consequences, global and regional context of the Ukrainian conflict, as well as its impact on African countries and their political course. The authors examine the publications of think tanks that can influence foreign policy decision-making in African states in order to assess the potential for changing their position on the Russian SMO, as well as the dominant perceptions in the African expert community about the impact of the Ukrainian conflict on international relations. In their publications, the think tanks focus on three key topics: the global context of the Ukrainian conflict and its implications for world politics, the impact of the Ukrainian conflict on the situation in Africa, and the position of some Sub-Saharan African countries on the Ukrainian conflict. African experts see the Ukrainian conflict as a manifestation of great-power competition and see it as a starting point for future changes in the world order. At the same time, they clearly see its negative consequences for the economic situation in African countries. |
