Summary:The Library Week which was started to be celebrated since 1964, is one of the most important occupational activities of Turkish Librarianship. The main purpose of the activities that are going to be performed in the Library Week is to enable the citizens to learn about the libraries more closely and enable them to use more; in other words, to create the public awareness. In this study, the Library Week celebrations are analysed and by making some evaluations within the framework of the celebrations of the past terms, recommendations are provided within the scope of celebration of the Week efficiently and in compliance with the purpose of creating public awareness.
