description Faced with figures showing a sharp increase in the environmental impact of digital practices, a very recent awareness seems to be emerging among archaeology professionals. This article reviews some of the contributions that have been made in these communities over the last five years: limiting the number of photographs taken for photogrammetric processing, replacing digital equipment less frequently, adapting Web connections to suit proven needs. As well as looking back on our own experience over the last four decades, and mentioning isolated initiatives, we propose a number of concrete courses of action. These proposals are an opportunity to put the subject up for debate within a community that has done little to address it until now.
