| Summary: | Philology was the last model that managed to bring together the critical and historical claims of literary studies. Attention is paid to the discipline of comparative history and to the contributions of the digital humanities to contrastively analyze various theoretical proposals. Finally, the role of interpretive practices and their relationship with evaluation criteria are discussed. |
