description A novel approach based on graphical approach of camprofile determination is put forth in this study. The objective of the study isto have a high accuracy independent platform from CAD systems and to eliminatedetermination parameters of planar cams like derivatives, pressure angle andcurvature. A brief description of graphical method is represented. Equationsand algorithms of the proposed approach for flat face and roller translatingfollower mechanisms are provided. Results are compared with results of theconventional analytical approach and graphical CAD systems which indicated thatthe approach provides precisely correct results.
