Description
Summary:There are no uniform methods in the classification of types of humor. Sometimes, they are categorized according to the topic, which is not of much help in recognizing the main and artistic types of humor. Sometimes, humorous methods and the main types of humor are combined with each other, which is a sign of impulsiveness and lack of mastery of the subject. The most accurate way to categorize is to first determine the factors that create humor, and then to categorize its main types. Finally, with a more detailed research, the techniques of creating humor which have numerous statistics need to be identified and  put them together, part by part, in the sub-set of the main types. In this research, four humorous factors have been introduced to which all types of satire are indebted: defamiliarization, juxtaposition of opposites, exaggeration and extremism, simulation. All types of humor that arise through these four factors can be divided into seven categories; behavioral, linguistic, literary, fictional, dramatic, visual, and analytical satire.
