Description
Summary:Sheep parainfluenza It is a disease with high diffusibility, sometimes with fatal serious, especially youth. It is caused by parainfluenza 3 virus (PI-3), identical to the bovine parainfluenza virus isolate, in combination with certain bacteria. PI-3 virus was firstly isolated from Hore et al. (1966) in the lungs and nasal mucus of sheep with pneumopathies and Gilmour et al (1968) successfully experimenting with an inactivated vaccine for the prophylaxis of diseases. In our country, parainfluenza sheep was diagnosed in 1977 by pathological examinations. Also by pathological examination was differentiated by Maedi-visna disease and pulmonary adenomatosis.
