Description
Summary:This article is based on an extract of a broader study devoted to statements of people with autism about upbringing activities in education. The analysed material concerned the vision of people with autism – how the care and the educational process should be conducted, and what we should aim for in the school system. This is innovative research because until now we have mainly relied on the knowledge of professionals and parents, who have indirectly influenced the actions and support programmes. By gaining direct information from the personal experiences of people with autism, it has become possible to present the voice of those most concerned, showing the possibilities of a personalistic approach to these interventions.
