Se presenta un artículo donde se pone de manifiesto la necesidad de organizar las recientes investigaciones sobre el estudio del deporte en torno a la representación de la acción, desde el paradigma cognitivo. Para ello, se plantea una posible organización lógica de las propuestas emergentes donde los límites en ocasiones pueden ser confusos: dicha organización la hemos denominado: perspectiva estructural-funcional y perspectiva funcional-estructural de cara a entender lo que ocurre cuando el sujeto toma conciencia de la situación, la analiza, escoge una estrategia determinada y toma una decisión a sabiendas de que se pone en tela de juicio el componente cognitivo, representacional y constructivo que tienen en cuenta o no los diferentes modelos. Esa es la piedra angular desde donde se argumenta la distinción entre dichas perspectivas. En la actualidad los estudios de corte estructural-funcional y funcional-estructural analizan el componente perceptivo de cara a la mejora del entrenamiento de los deportistas y de la competición deportiva para conseguir mejoras cualitativas. Ambas perspectivas tienen en cuenta la importancia de la reflexión sobre la acción pero mientras la primera vertiente se ocupa de estudiar cuáles son los elementos implicados en el ciclo senso-perceptivo-motor y qué función tienen cada uno de ellos, la segunda vertiente fundamenta su investigación en cómo el sujeto construye aprendizajes significativos, hecho que sirve de guía a la hora de analizar en qué nivel se sitúan los deportistas con relación a la comprensión de la situación de juego que se les presenta. En este sentido, nos parece relevante la distinción entre un modelo de aprendizaje cuya base sea establecer el procedimiento adecuado en función del conocimiento previo del deportista, el nivel de toma de conciencia, etc., (aspecto funcional-estructural), de otro modelo que da por supuesto el componente cognitivo sin entrar a analizar su propia naturaleza (aspecto estructural-funcional).
Abstract: We try to show an article where is necessary to organize the recent representational researches on the study of the sport from the cognitive paradigm. For it, two differentiated levels of organization appear: the structural-functional aspect and the functional-structural aspect in order to understand what happens when the subject analyzes a situation, chooses a certain strategy and takes a decision. The question is in fact, when the cognitive component is analyzed. That is the point from where the distinction of the structural-functional and functional-structural binomial in the sport is argued. The studies of structural-functional do not establish the different parameters of analyzing in what level the participants are in relation to the understanding. It is not the same to offer a learning model whose is based on the previous knowledge of the sportsman, levels of awareness, etc. (functional-structural aspect), who a learning model that has in consideration the cognitive component without analyzing his nature (structural-functional aspect).
