description Aiming at the fact that present transit traction power supply system with fixed voltage threshold of regenerative energy inverter cannot effectively use braking energy, this paper presents an algorithm of voltage threshold dynamic adjustment for regenerative energy inverter with minimum line power loss. On-rail resistance is transferred to traction network by network-to-rail voltage algorithm, and a minimum optimization model of line power loss in the power supply range is constructed to minimize the line power loss. By transforming the optimization model into the position problem of an ellipse and a line, the threshold voltage of regenerative energy inverters is obtained by tangent of the ellipse and the line. The situation when the train is braked in the uplink, downlink or continuous power supply range is also considered and a processing strategy is proposed. Changsha Metro 2 line data simulation analysis verifies the energy saving effect of the proposed method.
