Summary:Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is one of the major inflammatory diseases that affect the vertebral column and joints. The first-line drugs for the treatment of this disease are now nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that not only reduce painful sensations and rigidity, but also retard the radiological progression of AS. Celecoxib is one of the effective and safe NDAIDs that are promising for the treatment of AS.
