Summary:In current years, Chinese cultural industry develops in a rapid pace, driven by both government policies and market demand. Regardless of the cultural tourism industry, education and training industry, or the movie industry, it all presents a flourishing and thriving sense. The government pushes the development of cultural industry vigorously and regards it as a dominant component of the whole country’s economy. It also encourages the fusion of traditional culture and modern technology. With the rise of digital platforms, the demand for something for having fun has grown significantly, and at the same time, industry in the field of cultural tourism or the publication still got a rapid development drawing support from the growth of improvement of consumption ability of the middle class. However, it faces many problems at the same time, mainly displaying in the insufficiency of creativity and originality, the disequilibrium in regional development as well as the low degree of marketization. This essay will propose countermeasures from these three sections. To begin with measures of enhancing creativity by cultivating talented people and advancing some new technology. Besides, promoting the coordinated development of all regions is highly recommended in the essay. And for problems in the market environment, how to use complete industry chain and global sources to build international cultural industry is given reasonably. This essay aims to provide practical paths for the development of Chinese cultural industry, helping it achieves the leap from a ‘cultural power’ to a ‘cultural powerhouse’.
