description Acquired idiopathic generalized anhidrosis is a rare disease worldwide. It is typically seen in young men. The patient in this case has generalized anhidrosis. Cholinergic urticaria is often associated with this disease, causing recurrent pain, itching, decreased sweating, and hyperthermia. In this case, a 52-year-old man had recurrent generalized pain, itching, and fever for 10 years, especially after exposure to excessive heat from exercise or environmental factors. Increased regular temperature measurements due to the COVID-19 pandemic and recognition of high body temperature as well as the pain becoming more pronounced, led to the diagnosis of acquired idiopathic generalized anhidrosis.
