| description | Morocco, after having encouraged the strengthening of a modern and competitive agriculture, now turns to the development of its “small farming”. In the new “Plan Maroc Vert”, the model of family farm (prevailing in Morocco) is associated to a set of new functions, including food security and the preservation of natural resources. Those choices are linked to the enhancement of agricultural areas, encouraging the professionalization of the activities of the farmers and their integration in specialized sectors. In the Arganeraie region, where one can observe the cohabiting of livestock farming and fruits picking around the Argania, our paper aims at clarifying the importance of the implementation of quality labels linked to geographical origin (baby goat’s meat ; argania oil) on the organization of the activities as well as on the technical culture of the members of family farms. Our analysis sets light on the fact that the politicization of family farming does not succeed in answering the issues for which it is enhanced. |
