Summary:Generally epistemology is the branch of philosophy that’s studies knowledge. It attempts to answer the basic question about knowledge and its creation, source, use, borders etc. Library and information science is working about knowledge, too. Relationship between library and information science and epistemology comes from not only concept of knowledge but also as a social source, each area try to maxsimize social use of knowledge. In our study we try to explain relationship between library and information science, and epistemology with different ways. In addition to bring forward what is the theory of knowledge we studied knowledge as a economical, social and cultural fact.
