Summary:Sand and dust storm (SDS) monitoring data plays a key role in ensuring timely response, increasing resilience, reducing vulnerability, and minimizing the negative impacts of SDS. It provides the basis for reliable assessment and analysis of SDS-related events. This paper analyzes the existing dust storm monitoring system in Uzbekistan. The shortcomings of the current SDS monitoring system are highlighted, as well as the main directions for its improvement and presented the concept of an up-to-date monitoring system for Uzbekistan.
