Methods: a scoping review, carried out in the Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE/PubMed), Embase, Google Scholar® databases and manual search in reference lists. The study was structured according to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews recommendations. Results: the final sample consisted of 18 studies, most of which were published in 2023, in Europe, in English, with a quantitative approach and classified as level V of evidence. Conclusions: the sustainable nursing actions in waste management that most prevailed in the sample were related to material reduction, recycling and reuse.
