This article seeks to establish how Nolte adopts this position in order to reveal what is still invisible in a space that has been abundantly photographed and that has spurred various topical imaginaries. One of his strategies is to go against a contemporary trend that focuses on a flashy “tropicality” of the rainforest and against a historical trend that cultivates the “taste for otherness”. |
