description The purpose of this article is to present an intonative curve that accompanies the repetition of a previous statement, questioning the validity of this statement. This intonation itself constitutes a critical commentary on the adequacy of what is said to properly represent the state of things considered true by the speaker-enunciator, so it is clearly of a metalinguistic nature. In contrast to other intonations of modal or attitudinal value, we analyse its formal and semantic characteristics, proposing to relate these two orders of parameters.
