description Introduction. The third trimester of pregnancy, particularly its final stage, is characterised by heightened physiological and psycho-emotional vulnerability in women, which significantly influences their subjective perception of quality of life. During this period, quality of life serves as a complex integrative indicator of the level of life functioning and a potential predictor of postpartum adaptation. The aim of the study. To determine the level of quality of life among women during the last four weeks of pregnancy through quantitative analysis of the results of a sociological survey, with the aim of further developing evidence-based multidisciplinary strategies for prevention and support in the field of maternal health. Materials and methods. A one-time epidemiological analytical-descriptive sociological study was conducted among n = 432 women aged 18-48 years old who received medical care in specialised healthcare facilities in Lviv Region in 2024. The research tool was an adapted version of the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire. Statistical data processing was carried out using proprietary software developed in C# (.Net 9). Results. It was substantiated that P = 72.69 ± 0.33 % of respondents rated their quality of life during the last four weeks of pregnancy as unsatisfactory, while the calculated quality of life index was n = 0.218 (P = 21.76 %), which corresponds to a low level according to WHOQOL criteria. Key determinants identified in the decline of quality of life included a high level of anxiety (P = 47.69 %), reduced vitality (P = 60.65 %), insufficient social support (P = 91.2 % did not perceive any impact of their social environment on their well-being), and low participation in antenatal classes (P = 10.18 %). Limited opportunity for rest was also reported (only P = 34.72 %), as well as widespread sleep disturbances (P = 56.94 % were partially or fully dissatisfied). Conclusions. Empirical data demonstrate a marked decline in the quality of life of women during the late gestational stage, which is associated with a complex of biopsychosocial factors. The findings also substantiate the need to develop and implement integrated, multidisciplinary support programmes aimed at improving the physical, psychological, and social well-being of pregnant women in accordance with the principles of evidence-based medicine and international WHO standards.
