Summary: | This exploratory research is based on a qualitative survey using semi-structured interviews to investigate the attitudes, methods and tools used by 22 lecturers, belonging to the Y Generation. Three hypotheses about the characteristics attributed to this generation are studied: their need for innovation; their comfort with technology; their ability to multitask. Our results 1) uncover a variety of practices nevertheless referring to a teacher-centered approach; 2) suggest that the use of digital tools to teach and communicate with students is not a universal practice, and 3) demonstrate that issues related to student-teacher relationships are important. |
