Summary:This study seeks to examine the effects that non-verbal elements, predominantly in cases of presidential debate, are likely to produce on viewers / voters. The point is to capture the persuasive power of visual identity and its contribution to the effectiveness of oratory performance. The aim is to show that it is this non-linguistic identity, that is often sidelined for methodological considerations, which makes the political subject more credible.
