Kelly Armstrong

Official portrait, 2018 Kelly Michael Armstrong (born October 8, 1976) is an American lawyer and politician serving since 2024 as the 34th governor of North Dakota. A member of the Republican Party, he served from 2019 to 2024 as the U.S. representative for North Dakota's at-large congressional district.

Born and raised in North Dakota, Armstrong served from 2012 to 2018 as the North Dakota state senator from the 36th district and was chair of the North Dakota Republican Party from 2015 to 2018. On January 23, 2024, he announced he would not seek reelection to the House and would instead run in the 2024 North Dakota gubernatorial election. Armstrong won the Republican primary on June 11, 2024, and defeated Democratic nominee Merrill Piepkorn in the general election. Provided by Wikipedia
