Summary:Hawkari newspaper, is a Kurdish newspaper affiliated with the Iraqi Ministry of Information, which was issued during the years (1970-2003), occupies a large area in the life of the Kurdish press. The scholars, however, did not give its due attention. The importance of this newspaper and the importance of writing the Kurdish history during the years (1970-1975) urged us to choose this title to write this academic paper.  The paper consists of an introduction, four sections and conclusions.  The first section is dedicated to presenting an overview about the Hawkari newspaper, especially during the years (1970-1975).The beginnings of the attempts to publish the newspaper, the foundation board , the writers , editors , the administrative body, the place of printing, the number of pages, its price and the color used in it were indicated. The second section sheds light on the reflection of writing the history of the Kurds in Hawkari newspaper, and in this context all historical issues and articles in this newspaper have been mentioned on this topic. The third section is about the importance of writing the course and struggle of famous Kurdish figures which covers a large area of ​​the newspaper. In the fourth section, the columns allocated in this newspaper to write the history of the Kurds and introduce it to readers are all presented. The conclusions have summarized the most important findings of the paper.
