Summary:The traction system, power circuit, fault protection, structure, dissipate heat for the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) of high-speed EMU were studied and analyzed on basis of the features of PMSM traction system. Experimental results and practical application verified that the traction converter for PMSM traction system of high-speed EMU could met the reliabilities and operational demand, which provided a reference for the development of PMSM technology in other fields.
