| Summary: | Geostatistics methods and GIS were used to analyze spatial distribution of egg masses of the 1st generation of Chilo suppressalis (Walker) and its dynamics in the 1st rice crop season in Zhejiang province. The results showed that the spatial ditribution patterns were mainly aggregated in all years and the range of aggregation varied from 171 to 330 kilometers. However, the centers of aggregation and distribution patterns were changed with time. In general, the density grades were higher in north and coastal area of northeast, whereas its grades were lower in west and coastal area of southeast in the province. the density grade was the highest in Anji, Changxing, Huzhou and the lowest in Cangnan, Taishun, Pingyang during 1981 to 1987. |
