Connie M. Weaver
Connie Marie Weaver is an American nutrition scientist known for her research on mineral metabolism, calcium bioavailability, and bone health. She is a Distinguished Research Professor in the School of Exercise and Nutrition Science at San Diego State University (SDSU) and a Distinguished Professor Emerita in the Department of Nutrition Science at Purdue University and a member of the National Academy of Medicine. She was awarded Babcock-Hart Award in 1997.Her work has contributed to an understanding of dietary calcium requirements and approaches to supporting bone health throughout the lifespan.
